It’s a trip to Taynuilt to face off against Kilmallie in the Ferguson T&S Balliemore Cup Semi Final, how are you feeling ahead of the game?

I’m currently out injured at the moment so that’s a a bit gutting for myself, but as a group I think we are feeling good, it’s been a bit of a stop start season so far not really get a good run of games. But we’ve played Kilmallie plenty times over the last few years and know how tough it’ll be.

Will falling at the final hurdle last year add an extra layer of motivation?

Definitely, for most of the squad that’s the 2nd final we’ve fallen short in so we will be looking to definitely push on and go that step further this year.

‘Aray have already hit 13 goals in the Balliemore this year, will you be looking to continue this scoring blitz?

We’ve made a few adjustments this year and moved some players about, I think moving Campbell Watt to half back has made a huge difference and we seem to be sharing out the goals this year and not just leaving it to Fraser Watt for a change which is good, apart from having to listen about Coll Mackay being top goal scorer! 

With only 4 matches played in the Mowi National so far, could a positive outcome work as a springboard in your games in hand?

We would definitely rather have the points on the board than games in hand, but we know how we can perform but just need to stay consistent, we’ve been boosted with Hamish MacLellan coming back from sea but apart from that we’ve struggled with numbers due to injuries and suspensions, but if we can go on a good run from know we will look to get as high as we can up the league table.
