Fort William Shinty Club, constituted in 1893, is situated geographically in the centre of the Shinty community and landscape. Home matches are played at the infamous An Aird, located at the base of Ben Nevis and head of Loch Linnie. Some of the best facilities in Shinty can be found at An Aird, which comprises of two self-maintained pitches, a four hundred capacity seating stadia, comfortable team changing facilities as well as a large clubhouse.

Fort William Shinty Club is a club open to all which aims to provide joy to all persons involved whether it be players, club members or supporters. We currently have two senior men’s teams and an U17 and U14 team which comprises a player pool of over 75 players. There have been successes on and off the pitch in recent years the men’s senior team currently reside in the National Division whilst the club appointed our first paid employee and built a full-size training pitch. The 2nds won the Strathdearn Cup in 2023, the same season the U17s celebrated MacTavish Juvenile and London Shield success.
