Newtonmore continue perfect start ![]()
9 games, 9 wins, 27 goals, 4 conceded – Newtonmore could not have asked for a better start to the season. Kinlochshiel were their latest victims, as ‘More progressed to the Quarter Finals of the Macaulay Cup despite a depleted squad on the day
Lining up without top scorer Iain Robinson amongst others, the home side took the lead within half an hour as Conor Jones set up Brodie MacBean, before Struan Ross marked his return to the side with a goal off the bench. At the other end of the pitch their defensive performance was equally as solid, with Rory Kennedy earning plaudits from both managers after the match
The result sets up a Badenoch derby tie against Kingussie on the 20th June, whilst ‘More and Shiel will take each other on this Saturday in the first 1st team match of the season at Reraig

Inveraray continued their start to life in the WCA Mowi National Division with their second win of the season, seeing off Strathspey 7-4 at The Winterton.
Hannah MacDonald hit 4 goals to take her tally up to 12 for the season, whilst Katie MacKay chipped in with a hat-trick to secure the points. Charlotte Bisset notched another 2 goals to ensure she drew level with MacDonald in the scoring charts, whilst Beth Shearer and Karen Mangan both got on the score sheet.
The teams level on points with each other (and indeed all but two of the division) with Strathspey’s positive goal difference putting them 1 place above ‘Aray in 4th
