Comann Camanachd Lobhait

Located in Kiltarlity, Lovat Shinty Club was founded in 1888 although shinty was played in the village prior to that.
The Club takes its name from the Club’s Chieftain, Lord Lovat whose predecessor was the first President of the Camanachd Association in 1893.

Lovat’s most notable period of success was in the early 1950’s when they won all trophies available to them including the Glasgow Celtic Society Cup which since then is open only to south teams. However, the Club has seen more recent success winning the MacTavish Cup in 2013 & 2014, then the Camanachd Cup in 2015. The Ladies team have won the Challenge Cup twice, in 2016 and again in 2019.
Off the park Lovat have recently completed their new community pavilion, one of the finest in the sport.
